COP 24 – Greta Thunberg speaks to the world

Managed Sustainability: Let’s do it efficiently!

It was called a historic moment by Ban Ki Moon and John Kerry when representatives of almost 200 states signed the global climate protection agreement during a festive ceremony at the UN in New York City. This agreement has “the power to build a better world”, said Ban optimistically.Kerry But the real challenge begins only now, as words must be put into actions. No doubt: this can’t be done without CutPower. During the follow-up conference in Bonn, Germany, concrete plans were drawn up on how the EU agreements shall be put into effect. It is clear that, in order to reach the goals, the countries need to act now. Germany’s ambitious contribution is the Climate Protection Plan 2050. But as Environmental Minister Barbara Hendricks said, this plan can’t be implemented with public funds alone – therefore, private financial streams benefitting climate protection will be mobilised and supported. Thus, the door for CutPower stands wide open. Sigmar Gabriel, Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, is now walking through this door after acknowledging the potential of energy efficiency: „The cleanest and cheapest energy is the one not being used“. siggiAha, got it! Means: CutPower. With this realization, a large campaign was initiated; „Germany does it efficiently“. And what does this include? Unfortunately, little more than hot air. The campaign aims to raise awareness among citizens, companies and municipalities – no trace of effective funding or financial incentives for those who are actually willing to act. Let’s not wait any longer. CutPower offers „Managed Sustainability“ with all benefits: As infrastructure provider, CutPower provides energy efficient, sustainable equipment – off-balance and risk-free for you. Active climate protection and commercial benefits don’t have to oppose each other any longer thanks to CutPower. When can we await your message?

Success for us – and for you!

Another success for CutPower: For the second time in a row, CutPower was awarded the German INDUSTRIEPREIS with the BEST OF distinction in the category „Energy & Environment“. CEO Karl Eberhard Hunke accepted the award at the HANNOVER FAIR: „We are very
happy about the reaffirmation of our unique business model of ‘Managed Sustainability’, with which we are able to make an important contribution both for the environment and the economy. I would like to thank the entire team, our business partners and our investors.“
Proof of economic, social, ecological or technological benefits was required from the applicants‘ business models – exactly what CutPower has to offer.
The top-class jury agreed and saw all criteria fulfilled: By provision and support of energy efficiency projects in the field of sustainable technology, companies reduce both their emissions and their cost, all without additional expenditures or own risks – OPEX instead of CAPEX. Thus, CutPower is not the only winner: Besides the environment, companies benefit from finally being able to realize energy efficiency and sustainability projects – all thanks to CutPower.

CutPower at the ICP Investor Days 2016 in Brussels

150 top decision makers from politics and economics met at the Investor Days in Brussels in February 2016 to debate about future standards for energy efficiency investments in real estate. The goal was to make investments in energy efficiency a natural part of institutional investors’ portfolios. Thanks to standardized protocols, it will from now on be considerably easier for banks and investors to launch projects in the fields of energy efficient real estate restorations.

As the leading infrastructure provider, CutPower was able to participate effectively at the conference: with his insightful lecture regarding the potentials of energy efficiency investments, CEO Karl Eberhard Hunke was able to raise a lot of applause.

The investor days are held under the auspices of many renowned institutions, such as the EEFIG (Energy Efficiency Financial Institutions Group), the conference hosts BPIE Building (Performance Institute Europe) and the ICP (Investor Confidence Project).
